The first resort of Butlins was opened in the year 1936. Ever since the beginning, the founder of the resort had a clear objective i.e. to bring happiness and color in the lives of hardworking families. As per him, the idea of any perfect vacation or a holiday has to be straight forward and simply down to earth as the man himself. In these 80 years, a lot may have changed in the terms of the growth, development and the number of resorts, but the idea behind remains the same. This perhaps is the biggest and the key reason behind the phenomenal success of the resort.
In the year, 1936 the first Butlins camp was opened for the public in Skegness to offer some seaside fun and frolic to the people residing in the nearby area. In no time, the resort went on to become one of the Britain’s best-loved holiday resorts. By 1990, there were splash water worlds in all the resorts of Butlins. The resorts were now equipped with spas, wave pools, lazy rivers and water slides where the guests of all swimming abilities can partake of a brisk circuit around the pool. Thereafter, the resort was more of a leisure spot for families to unwind. From then to now, several developments were made to ensure that the families who came here tired and exhausted only left being relaxed and rejuvenated.
The team of Butlins comprise of an enthusiastic, cheerful and helpful group of people. They work strenuously round the year to ensure that you get only the best when you are at the resort.
With Butlins, there is no such thing as a typical break. There is a lot on platter throughout the day but it obviously depends on you as to how much or how little you can make out of it. You can opt from a wide range of sports or activities such as a traditional fairground, live daytime shows and the indoor Splash Waterworld. So, that means there is something for all family types. Butlins in UK has three resorts at Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness.
At Bognor Regis there are three contemporary resort hotels, funky spa, 2012 Quality Coast Award beach, a restaurant headed by the celebrity chef Brian Turner and lastly the South Downs National Park on the doorstep.
Second resort is at Minehead where you will see the Blueskies Apartments of Butlins, a beautiful sandy beach at the doorstep and some lovely new restaurants.
Third one is at Skegness that was initiated way back in 1936 but there have been several changes made there since then. Besides, there are some lovely restaurants and a beautiful blue flag sandy beach right at your doorstep.
All three resorts have few things in common i.e. a beautiful ocean, fresh sea air and plenty of space to play. Together these three ingredients make for the most ideal family break. They are all located right next to some of Britain's loveliest beaches and have a host of famous fun-filled Skyline Pavilions enveloped with the landscaped gardens and family places to stay.
